Can a new style cylinder (787) and head be used on an old style KT100 crank case? Any special considerations?

Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

Sure can Joe.

In fact many people preffer the old style cases to the new ones. I have a new style 787 on an old case set, and they work fine.

Now the caveat. Unless you fully understand the workings of the KT-100, I'd advise you get an engine builder to do the job. Port placement is important, as is head volume, and "squish". So unless you've the tools, get someone who has them.
