For those of you who have been lucky enough to flip a kart when racing, do you have any suggestions on how to come out of such an occasion in the best condition? Such as, do you want to stay inside the kart, or let yourself be thrown out? Im figuring that you duck your head in near the steering wheel (at least thats what I think Boles said), to protect your head and neck. And also, is it better to put your hands out to slow your fall, or should you stay compacted in the kart and let it take the beating? I am hoping I never have to worry about this, but, in the event that it would happen, I want to know how to do it right Laughing .

Unless you can press 360 plus pounds over your head do not put your arms out. Grab the wheel, duck your head down towards the steering wheel, and hold on tight. I flipped at Circleville two years ago and I landed upsidedown on my head and right shoulder with me still in the seat when I hit. I was knocked silly and came out of the kart but at least I didn't break anything.

Keep your hands on the wheel...very tight...do not let go. If you let go, you will inctintively try to stop the fall by putting your hand down...then snappo...you won't have to worry about washing that arm for 6-8 weeks cause it will be in a cast...or even worse.

Alrighty, so in order to not be knocked silly and/or experience a snappo, I should duck and hold on tight. That should be easy enough to remember in mid-air Laughing .

And way to use your commercial catch-phrase knowledge John, or should I say . . . Tinkerbell?

Serious retaliation, eh? What kinds of things are we lookin at here? You know, the name isnt all that bad. We made it up because we always see you "tinkering" with your fleet of karts. And the name "tinkerbell" adds a nice little touch to it. One finds an interesting visual when you imagine John with fairy wings Laughing . Just playin' John, its all in good fun, right?

John,

Could you give me a "heads up" on which turn and Heat that you might have some "accidental" contact?

LOL...I would never unintentionally close my eyes, and misjudge my corner entry speed and angle of approach, which may lead to the unintentional removal of another vehicle from MY racing line.

Un-intentional . . . so, John, would it help if I put a target on the back of my helmet to assist the aim of your "accidental contact"?

X? What X? I thought I showed off my rookie stripes enough earlier this season. And anyway, if I had an X, I would be in the back . . . behind you! But maybe your assuming Im faster than you, which is cool too! You'll just have to wait for me to pass you . . . then you can drive like a wild man, oh wait, I mean have a little accident involving me Laughing .
