I think what the club tried to do was to bring more TaG racers from other clubs around here. Since 2006, we had almost no TaG entries and we are trying to get TaG entries number up. Also when we decided to do track addtion to old track, we thought it will help the club to have some TaG entries.
Anyway, we only have 1 or 2 TaG drivers at the club at this moment (They only raced few weekends) and to bring more TaG racers to our club we had to do something.
Since both KRA and MOSKC are using BS YHC, the rules committe suggested to allow other than SL4 tires. But our series sponsor is importer of SL4, we had to check with our sponsor.
I think you know the rest.
Board members have nothing to do with making tire decision for this TaG class.
I'd rather have a lot of TaG entries than non or two.

Jean, Toshiya, and other TAG concerned members. I have bad and disheartening news. I have talked to 4 people that are upset about this tire issue. They have remarked that they will not buy a set of SL-4s to run at OVKA. What does Russel have to say about this. Is he going to reimburse the club and Gary Gregg for entry losses? I think not. But he should. If he will not give any lead way on the tire issue. Then the heck with him. Another reason to rip up the aggreement and move on. The aggreement is on paper now. After hand shake comments and discusions on the tire issues, someone just couldn't wait to put ink on the whole deal. How many corner workers will we need this year? Can anyone check with Russel to find out?

Jeff, and to all that are concerned about Tag tires. The Board voted on class structure months ago and voted for open tires in the Tag class. Read OVKA web site on classes for 2008 and see for your self. Kid Karts, Shifters and Tag open tires. Stop preaching about how the Board is always wrong. I am sick of all this BS with FUEL and TIRES.
