Thats okay Kathy, I would prefer that someone tell it like it is and to also be able to discuss issues problems etc etc .
This is a team effort to make a race day happen, karters ,officials & Staff all need to work and communicate with each other. (at least that is the way I see it)
Doug , you are right I did make some mistakes, none were intentional (I know you did not mean it like that D)
someone did mention it to me that they also need to see the white flag, and why it is more important at New Castle for it to be waved then it is at G &J .
For those who do not understand this , New Castle is a power track and drafting really comes into play here especially on the final lap, where at G & J being smooth and consistent on every turn will make or break you. right Doug ? _________________ .

and scrape marks on the top of the helmet is a wheels up condition. |

But Ray it's all good other than that. You took an entire day out away from racing to make sure that this job was taken care of. I DO REALLY APPRICIATE IT, and I know many of the other do to. And Kathy is right after getting home and reading what I post earlier it was a bit hard. Thanks for stepping up and doing a job at the time of need. _________________ Doug Stempfley II

4. I liked the automatic green flag unless we really had a screw up.

Wow...that takes out the guess work if you are going to get the green flag. Did they make a rule that day on how to police this new rule? Like if someone jumped the start?
Also what happened if someone didn't get started when the rest of the class did? I thought you had 90 seconds? And even in the OVKA rulebook they have a rule stating if you start within the 90 second you're allow to take your position.

There was a statment at the drivers meeting that if you are not on the grid ready to go by the white flag of the race before yours, you start on tail.
There was situations that they were on the grid but did not get started. There was no 90 sec. They just got it started and they hopped out on the track once the race was started. Kind of messed up a few people.
But the 90 sec rule will be back on race #6 at G&J. _________________ Doug Stempfley II

Doug, it coulda been worse. At The Great Lakes race on Saturday, the accedently gave 2 white flags one heat, and the leader didn't race to the checker, got spun because he wasnt driving straight, and finished last. _________________ This is your Race Director Speeking!
